TEENAGE VAPE CLINIC:
With Australia’s high levels of teenage vaping, there is an urgent need to provide supportive and expert GP care.
Blackmarket vapes are targetted to youth, and there are many health risks. With medical assistance, you can transition to less harmful alternatives, and gradually manage your vape use in a healthier way.
Dr Carolyn Beaumont is one of Australia’s foremost tobacco harm reduction clinicians, and is a highly experienced GP with adolescent health qualifications. Carolyn is uniquely placed to helping teenagers navigate their problematic vaping, and offers a range of options (pharmacy and non-pharmacy) tailored to each young person’s needs.
Her approach to patient care is simple: listen, support, and work with you to develop an effective action plan. She has a ‘judgement-free’ policy, and is easy to talk to.
As a teenager you can attend confidentially, although parent/carer support is ideal.
ADULT ‘SMOKERHEALTH’ CLINIC:
Smokers and ex-smokers over 50yo are at high risk of chronic lung disease and lung cancer. Simple screening measures are available, aiming for early diagnosis of these conditions and ultimately life-saving early intervention.
ADULT ADHD CLINIC:
Adult ADHD is under-diagnosed, and many adults struggle with work and home because of this. Accessing a psychiatrist is difficult and expensive, and the ongoing psychiatry reviews for scripts (if appropriate) are expensive. As a GP, I am able to partner with your psychiatrist, and continue prescribing on their behalf. I can arrange your initial psychiatry referral, and apply for a permit to continue prescribing for up to 2 years (via psychiatrist oversight).
